Open spaces of CEFNOB in Bauru: urban configuration and identity of the place

ABSTRACT

The presente work aims to analyze open spaces and leisure spaces built by railroad Brazil's Northwest (CEFNOB) in the city of Bauru, in a paternalistic context practiced at the beginning of the century XX, where they were offered to workers assists touching to housing, food, health and leisure. It is intended to demonstrate the importance of public spaces and leisure spaces in relation to the perception of collective identity, memory and representation as well as the quality of life and the spatial configuration of the equipment installed by CEFNOB were able to facilitate the creation of neighborhoods. The methodology used was based on research of primary sources through photos and documents published by EFNOB and bibliographical analysis, through works that deal with the subject. Thus, we intend to contribute to the studies on the free space and recreational space created in Bauru in the first half of the century. XX.

Espacios libres de EFNOB en Bauru: configuración urbana y la identidad del lugar

RESUMEN

Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar los espacios libres y espacios recreativos construidos por la ferrocarril Noroeste de Brasil (CEFNOB) de la ciudad de Bauru, en un contexto paternalista practicado a principios de siglo. XX, donde se les ofreció a los trabajadores de ayuda en materia de vivienda, alimentación, salud y ocio. Se pretende demostrar la importancia de los espacios públicos y espacios recreativos en relación con la percepción de la identidad colectiva, la memoria y la representación, así como la calidad de vida y la configuración espacial de los equipos instalados por CEFNOB fueron capaces de facilitar la creación de barrios. La metodología utilizada se basa en la investigación de fuentes primarias a través de fotos y documentos publicados por CEFNOB y análisis bibliográficos, como trabajos que tienen que ver con el asunto. Por lo tanto, tenemos la intención de contribuir a los estudios sobre el espacio libre y espacios de recreación en Bauru en la primera mitad del siglo. XX.
